Our Vocation Stories

Sr Maria Casarotti

I have to give thanks to God and to my parents for this wonderful gift.

Being in a family of six children, the Almighty God chose three children to be His own.

I had no interest in men. My father and my brother were my adorable men.. I received the first call on the day of my first communion. I remember the sweet voice of Jesus asking me, “Do you want to be my own?”  From that time till today my answer is “Yes, Lord, Here I am.

I remembered on the eve of my profession in 1952, 5th January, I had a dream, a Canossian sister who had died seven days before my first profession appeared to me in chapel. I was kneeling at the communion rail, she came near me and with a sweet voice she told me, “Maria, make your promise to God. Give yourself to Him totally, for you do not know what He had prepared for you as His spouse.

Till today, I am always in love with God!
